A tower, located at the very top of Hogwarts. This star-gazing spot is also very popular among the hormone crazed teenagers attending the school.

The domain of the short, squeaky Filius Flitwick. As this is a larger building, and often filled with the sounds of students attempting their spellwork, it is fairly easy to have a conversation without being overheard.

Your average classroom. There isn't much personality, perhaps a dark detector or two, but other than that this classroom is just plain average.

The Divination classroom is located in this tower, accesible only by rope ladder. It's often hot and humid, and smells of various perfumes and oils.

An old, drab classroom that remains the domain of Professor Binns, the ghost, to this very day.

A bright room filled with a variety of muggle artifacts.

The dark, dreary stone interior of this Dungeon hideaway make it seem very forbidding. Professor Slughorn, the current Potions master, is a good teacher, but one that favors the students belonging to his 'Slug Club'.

A simple, no-nonesense classroom that reflects its occupant, one Minerva McGonagull.

Though it may be a lavatory, it's also used for skiving, fixing hair and make-up, gossiping and spreading rumours.

Unlike the girl's lavatory, the boy's is usually fairly empty, save the occasional skiver or someone actually relieving themself.

An old girl's lavatory that is now inhabited by the ghost of Myrtle, a young Hogwarts student who died within it's walls.

The various closets used to store brooms. Often popular for a snog or a quickie in between lessons.

Located on the second floor, this comfortably cozy space decorated in ebony and gold houses all Hufflepuff students at Hogwarts.

The fortress of those most intelligent. This blue-and-black expanse of space is littered with chess sets, bookshelves and knick-knacks galore.

The dungeon keep of the sly and clever. Decorated in green and silver, the Slytherin Dungeons are perfect for evil scheming and dreaming.

An open area near the forbidden forest where students meet for Care of Magical Creatures class.

You're not supposed to be in here! This eerie, creature-filled forest is especially gruesome at night.

Honeydukes not only sells a wide variety of sweets, they also make their own fudge and enormous blocks of chocolate.

Zonko's is a favourite place for Hogwarts students to shop. They carry "jokes and tricks to fulfill even the Marauders' wildest dreams," including Dungbombs, Hiccup Sweets, Frog Spawn Soap, and Nose-Biting Teacups.

Reputed to be the most haunted house in Britain, the Shrieking Shack gets its name from the terrifying screams and noises heard coming from it every full moon. The windows are completely boarded up. Outside the house is a dank, overgrown garden. All Entrances are sealed.

Shop that sells and repairs magical equipment, located near the end of the High Street.

Clothier, with additional shops in London and Paris. Among other things, you can buy strange socks there.

The station, where the Hogwarts Express ends its journey north from Platform Nine-And-Three-Quarters, is located near the lake. A road extends from the train station around the lake to Hogwarts Castle. The station is actually quite a distance from the town itself, being on the opposite side of the Hogwarts grounds.

A small, cramped tea shop with decor on the tacky side of frilly, filled with small circular tables, located on a side street off the High Street; the only Hogwarts students who seem to patronize the place are trysting couples. The owner uses a revoltingly sappy decor for Valentine's Day (floating golden cherubs occasionally throwing pink confetti).

At least three hundred owls, from Great Grays to tiny Scops ("Local Deliveries Only"), wait to carry messages. They sit on shelves that are color-coded, depending on how fast you want your letter to get to its destination.
